of decomposing fish and microscopic
organisims, the romance; bedroom eyes

of the mystery mollusk, the do you?;
open arms of the spotted suid, the yes;

nervous creatures with their jaws
unhinged, the less than conservative kiss,

I choose the deep-sea bed, I think,
above all else for the weight

Palm Springs was great. Didn't think about anything for two days, except catching up with Jenny. These two pictures from photographic dictionary. Just got a message from an old friend from SF. Can not wait to talk- maybe see this week. Also heard my friend BB is moving back to LA this fall. So long away, but so excited to have her back.

Pot Cosies

Keeping the plants warm tonight. These are from HeinsHome design. They are made from Polyester yarn, and claim to be as soft as cotton. I think it is so pretty. It's like a big sweater for your plants. It would be perfect for indoor plants, but I think I will use them on my three steps into the patio. They also make poufs out of the same material.

Layers

Missoni fall RTW. Love the layers, and the muted colors. It's a cold in LA this weekend. I refuse to turn the heat back on. It is March.

Getting ready for Palm Springs this weekend. Want to check out the new Ace Hotel, it opened a couple of weeks ago. A customer was there last week and reported that it looks great-but service still seems a little unorganized and hectic. We are going to go for a drink on Saturday Night. I can't wait to catch up with Jenny I haven't seen her in 9 months?! Also would like to go to some vintage stores...we will see how far from the pool I stray. Spring Break 2009. It will also be nice to go for a drive. I am putting together some playlists...

The Laugh

Things have been strange lately. A lot of things happening that I did not expect. Kind of a crossroads thing...but not as dramatic. However, there are still things that I know to be true and they are: majority of men are really that dumb (the bachelor finale) and once in a while you find something that makes you really happy. So is the case with F You Penguin . I maybe late to the game, but this is probably the best thing I have seen in a long time. It restores my faith in the world. When you are having a bad couple of weeks..and your friends are supportive and don't know what to say.. I can now turn to F You Penguin and know that there is an animal that has it a lot worse.
Thank you penguin, I needed a good, long, loud, tearful laugh.

Sunday

After getting a later start to the day than I had wanted...I went hiked Fryman with Amanda. It was intensely hot. Had lunch, then came home and cleaned up my outdoor space. My mission is to redo my patio and create a 'room'. My mom is coming out to visit in a few weeks...so I am hoping with her help, we can make a plan and put it into action. I spend so much time outside and it really makes me happy. I am going on a search for outdoor inspiration. Ideally I would like to add flowers and vegetable containers, but that is bold for me since I am really only good with succulents.
The picture is one my sister took in Idaho, I believe, helping friends build a cabin.
