The Chairs...

Set of 6 Dining Room chairs from Amherst house given to me by mom. For almost a year I believed her when she told me that I would have to have them Professionally done. Well... This weekend I started inspecting them and that is not the case! They are Queen Anne and are Cherry. I am trying to figure out how to really make them work into my space now. I am not 100% I want them, maybe I'll sell them and get a style that might suit me better... but I think I can make it happen. So I went and checked out some Fabrics today. I think I need a pattern that is contemporary, but will fit in and not make them look out of place. I am really trying not to strip and ruin them. I would like the varnish to be more dull... but we will see.
Super simple.. A little brown, totally neutral. Would go with any style and any table. Think it might be too safe!

I love this one. I think it would update the chairs and bring them into the present. But the brown is really brown and might not work with the cherry. I think I need to bring in a fabric that will complement the wood not make it stand out more.

Clean, simple, dark, white, modern feel. could be a front runner.
I really like this one.. It has a darker brown and some great colors. Goes well with a moorish theme.
Simply Orange. I have a lot of orange accessories. I might be moving away from orange and onto a saffron.
CHocolate brown.. maybe to much, I think I would get sick of this fast.. but I like the retro feel. Just not in my home.

Easter Brunch: Bottega Louie

Easter Brunch at Bottega Louie with Britt. I then did some painting outside... only to have it rain all night.
Had an Earthquake which is always a little disorientating. Excited for Rosebowl next weekend!

new designs in progress

Inspired by the ranunculus picked up last week at farmer's market. I have been working on an all over design for textiles. The color is different shades of vermillion.
